Four sequences
This project results from a collaboration with video maker Julien Munschy.
The photographic installation is elaborated round four phrases taken from a diary containing a narrative visually turned into four photographic sequences and a video:
- I destroyed all traces of you to the very last one you left in my life.
- Since that day, I had been watching the instant when you would teeter.
- Some people spontaneously seem familiar as if you found the affection for a loved one after a long absence intact.
- People are not aware of my quiet way of keeping sorrow locked up inside.
Each sequence relies on a sentence sending back to the emotional experience felt by a character during a significant event: a long-dreaded break-up, a fortuitous and perhaps guilty encounter, a deliverance or a revived pain.
A video transposing the four characters’ internal experience into an uneven mineral landscape in which one relives one’s actions, the turmoil felt during the photographic sequences answers to the photographic installation.
